Former Cisco Executive Named IPcelerate Advisor

IPcelerate, Inc., a provider of advanced communications-based software applications, announced today that Gary Daichendt will become an advisor to the board and executives of IPcelerate. His role will include assisting the board of directors and senior management in developing strategy and execution of the company's business plan.
Gary retired from Cisco Systems in December, 2000, where he was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations. Gary joined Cisco in 1994 as Vice President of Intercontinental Operations, and soon became Senior Vice President of Sales. In 1998, Gary was promoted to Executive President of Worldwide Operations with worldwide responsibility for sales, distribution, manufacturing, and strategic alliances. As the second highest ranking executive at Cisco, Gary led a team of 22,000 employees in over 100 countries, increasing operational revenues and profits by over 50% per annum. After Cisco, he also served briefly as President and COO of Nortel Networks.
