Kevin Brown (President & CEO)
Kevin is responsible for the strategy, go-to-market execution and business operations for IPcelerate. Kevin has 25+ years experience in executive and management positions in the voice and data communications market, and has worked for convergence pioneers such as ROLM, VMX and IBM. Kevin was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Selsius Systems when Selsius was acquired by Cisco Systems in 1998. Kevin headed up the market development organization at Cisco Systems in then Enterprise Voice Video Business Unit from 1998-2002
Kevin is the author of two books: IP Telephony Unveiled (published by Cisco Press in January 2004), and A Friendly Guide to LANs, WANs and Internetworking (published by Intecom in 1994). Kevin was recently mentioned in the December 19th issue of BusinessWeek as one of the Best Managers to watch for in 2006. He serves as an advisor on the board of directors for the Ivan and Sam Foundation, and is co-founder of the First Things Foundation, both non-profit organizations focusing on pediatric cancer and scholarships for disadvantaged youth, respectively.
Alok Jain (Chief Technology Officer)
Alok is responsible for technology, research and development of IPcelerate products and delivering state of the art technology and solutions to our clients. Alok has 14+ years experience in software development, and has held various positions, from a core network programming engineer to executive level positions with software development groups. Under his technical leadership IPcelerate, Netcom Systems, Birlasoft, Network Programs, and Business India Group have built products and solutions for VOIP, Network Management, CRM, Internet/Intranet portals, Client-Server applications and multimedia applications.
Most recently, Alok Jain led the product development and engineering group within IPcelerate, created as a result of the IPcelerate Acquisition of the Netcom systems VoIP application development group.
Tom Hewett (EVP, Sales, Channels & Business Development)
Tom is responsible for all sales activities, including partner recruitment, partner satisfaction and revenue attainment for IPcelerate. Tom has more than 23 years of sales and management experience in the information technology business, including 15 years of experience recruiting, building and managing channel partners. He has an outstanding record recruiting, training and motivating employees to achieve financial targets. Tom entered the convergence marketplace as Area Director for Sales for Selsius Systems, a start-up organization that was acquired by Cisco Systems in late 1998. At Selsius Systems, Tom was responsible for channel and business development. After the acquisition by Cisco Systems, Tom successfully led channel initiatives for key national and global partners, where he was 2003 U.S. Channel Manager of the Year for Cisco Systems.
Valerie Corniello (VP, Sales)
Valerie is responsible for all sales activities, including revenue attainment, sales management and customer satisfaction for IPcelerate in North America. She has 20 years of sales and management experience in the telecommunications and information technology business. During her career Val has excelled in building and managing both direct sales teams as well as channel partners. Valerie is one of the original founders of IPcelerate and has worked for other telecommunication and data providers such as Sprint, Nortel Networks and Cisco Systems.
David Stixrood (VP, Business Alliances & Logistics)
David is responsible for the development, management and marketing of IPcelerate’s channel program to attract and retain a loyal group of resellers to market IPcelerate products. David has 23+ years of experience in the data communications industry. He has held various executive positions for sales and marketing during his career, and prior to joining IPcelerate, ran a successful executive consulting business focusing on the then-emerging wireless market. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Sales for MobileStar Networks, where he oversaw all direct and channel-based sales engagements. He has successful experiences with both established companies (MCI, VMX and NCR) as well as start-up organizations (MobileStar Networks). Awards include the Bronze Star awarded for military service, and David twice received Army commendations.
